The waiter at the coffee shop is a LIAR.
We ordered a Latte, a Mocha, and a piece of cake, none of which tasted very good (this is not important). When we paid the bill, the waiter said, we were going to pay 1 million Rial, which was very very expensive. So he wrote down the price of each one (as the picture shows), explaining that it is expensive because coffee is expensive in Iran. We knew it’s bullsh*t because we've had coffee in Esfahan before and it's much cheaper than that. So we went to the restaurant next to the cafe (the cafe belongs to the restaurant) and the manager said the real price was 400,000 Rial.
This is a shame to Iran.
This cafe is a shame for Iran. We ordered three juices and the owner asked us to pay 800000 IRR. When we told him this is a way too expensive and we never pay a price like that before, he used the argument that for us Iran is very cheap so we should pay this price. On top of that, the juices were not good. That guy just stole us money. When we tried to know the prices for each juice, he just invented some random prices. This is clearly the type of people that discourage you to come and visit Iran. I told him he should be ashamed and he just continued answering that Iran was cheap for us so we need to pay that price. Never again!!!
